Who Is Melchizedek, Where is He Today?
Posted: 19 June 2016
Who is Melchizedek (or Melchisedec – NT spelling) and where is He today.Categories: Yes, you would notice I used the capital “H” for He. Why ? When I was talking to a man who had spent 4 years in bible theology school in Boston, he said, “we can't tell because he was named as a king (of Jerusalem) and therefore he must be a human”. So I asked him, a human would have a father and a mother, would he not? He knew then I was referring to Hebrew 7 where Paul gave us more details about His origin. Let us read what Paul said:- Heb 7:1-4 (1) For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; (2) To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
(3) Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. (4) Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. So in verse 1 of Hebrew, Paul identified Melchisedec as King of Salem, priest of the most high God. This sounded like indeed He was a human King / Priest, In verse 2, it says King of Salem, means King of Peace, and He is also King of Righteousness. This puts Him above being a mere man for no man can be righteous before God and yet He is KING of Righteousness. Then verse 3 says, Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; (there is our semi-colon again) but made like unto the Son of God; (semi-colon again) abideth a priest continually (a priest continually, mine!). Remember in our Serpent Seed article, we took notice of the semi-colon as being used to link two statements, with a full stop and a comma? After the statement identified Him having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; it bring us back to the fact that He was made like unto the Son of God; a priest continually (Isn't Jesus a Man and the High Priest of our confession? An Immortal, Eternal Being who took on the body of a man, who is both King and Priest. Moses met Him as the angel of the Lord, in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush, and Moses asked Him for His Name in Exodus 3:13 and God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM. I AM hath sent you as His messenger. The Lord God of your fathers, Moses told the Hebrew children, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That Same God who met Abraham in the form of Melchisedec. Exo 3:13-15
(13) And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? (14) And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. (15) And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. We reminded ourselves the very first commandment God wrote with His finger on the tablet of stone which Moses held. I am the Lord thy God and you shall have no other gods before me. Paul emphasized the same with these:- Rom 3:29-30
(29) Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: (30) Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Eph 4:4-6 (4) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Sounds like this Melchisedec is an immortal person, Eternal to be precise. And who can be Eternal? Without beginning of days and end of life? Our previous article identified Jesus of the New Testament as Jehovah of the old Testament. It was not Brother Branham who said it first. It was Jesus Himself. Paul met the Pillar of Fire on the way to Damascus and Paul knew that was the same Angel of the Lord who met Moses. He could not miss this because he heard Stephen (3rd Martyr of the Gospel – first John the baptist, second Jesus and third Stephen) preached a powerful sermon in Acts 7 before the so called priests and scribes stoned him because he told them Jesus was that Angel of the Covenant. They stopped their ears and cried for his blood. It was against their man made, broken cistern theology. A broken cistern contains stagnant water filled with wiggle tails and bugs. Not a living Fountain. Theologians today act likewise. They are not taught about the Supernatural God that He is. They want to know Him only in their incubated mould, a seminary without a father or mother, and our prophet called it a cemetery, good men go there to die. Likewise, today's learned men will try to tell you that Paul might not be the authour of the book of Hebrew because it sounded too steep in Levitical transformation into another priesthood after the order of Melchisedec. So theologians or anyone who use their mind to reason will say that He Melchisedec, was an order, a type of priesthood and not a person. So they reasoned amongst themselves that he could be human because he was the king of Jerusalem, but since there was no account of having a father nor a mother, then it must be about an order. Indeed, such theological dissertation only brings about one conclusion and that is “an inconclusive” answer and they begin to teach this to their congregation should someone started to ask for answers along these lines. At best all they could offer was “could be this or could be that”. The fruit of such foolish reasoning brings about doubt. Doubting the Word of God. Why do these theologians not look to a prophet for the answer. This is the only ordained way for us to know the Word, by Revelation! Is it not recorded in Revelation 10:7 that in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, the mystery of God SHOULD BE FINISHED! Now why do these people not look for this Seventh Angel, a messenger, a prophet, a human, a fellowservant and one of the brethren? Did not Amos 3:7 plainly tells us, Surely the Lord God will not do nothing........but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the theologians? The studious? The learned? NO! The prophets! Amo 3:7-8
(7) Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (8) The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? See the word Revealeth? Lets look at more of this in Spoken Word of the Lord in the Old and New Testament. Dan 2:30
(30) But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart. Mat 11:25
(25) At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Mat 16:17 (17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 1Co 2:10 (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Here is more revelation of the matter when we look at the correct interpretation, the only interpretation of the bible to us, by way of a true prophet. Notice how direct, how precise is the Word revealed to us when we received every Word. For man shall not live by bread alone, but EVERY WORD from the mouth of God (prophets). 65-0221E WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-5 N-10 SUNDAY_
« 95 † Now the true revelation of Melchisedec comes into view. What? He was God, the Word, before He became flesh; God, the Word. Cause, He had to be; no one else could be immortal like Him. See, I had father and mother; you did, too. Jesus had father and mother. "But this Man had no father, or had no mother." Jesus had a time He started; this Man didn't. Jesus gave His life; this Man couldn't, because He was Life. And it's the selfsame Man all the time. I hope God reveals it to you. The selfsame Person, all the time. 96 Notice His title, "King of righteousness." Now, Hebrews 7:2, "King of righteousness, and King of peace." He is two kings. Now watch, Hebrews 7:2, "King of righteousness, also the King of peace." He is two kings there. Now since He has come in the flesh and received His body up, in Revelations 21:16, He is called, "The King of kings." He is all three of them, together. See, King God, King Theophany, King Jesus. "He is the King of kings." It's all met, just like soul, body, and spirit, all comes to make one. 97 Also, He is the Father, which was the first; Son; and Holy Ghost, the Spirit. "King of righteousness," the Spirit attribute; theophany, "King of--of peace," theophany; and in flesh He was "King of kings," same Person. Now what is being revealed here? That Melchisedec had two titles, king of righteousness and king of peace. But Jesus is called the King of kings, Rev 19:16. See, Jesus is above all kings. This is the quickened Word to us. See, as Elohim, He is King God. As Melchizedek, He is King Theophany and as Jesus, Emmanuel, He is King Jesus. Pilate asked Him, Art thou also a King? Joh 18:37
(37) Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. See, everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice. Can you hear Him today? Heb 4:7
(7) Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. Can you soften your heart to hear what the Spirit says to the churches ? Rev 3:22 (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. This is the day of hearing the seventh angel's message. The star in His hand, one like unto the Son of Man walking amongst the candlesticks or lampstand. The seventh church being identified as the Laodicean Church age. Rev 1:11-16
(11) Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. (12) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; (13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. (14) His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; (15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. (16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. See, the quickening power of the Revealed Word of our Day. It will certainly bring to pass that which has been foretold and promised, the earth travailing and groaning for the day of its birth pains bringing forth the manifested sons of God in their true glory and eminence. Are you one of them? Where is Melchisedec today? 65-0221E WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-5 N-10 SUNDAY_
The prophet said, He became Jesus Christ. That same man who appeared to Abraham in the form of the angel of the Lord, the theophany, had prepared another body, this time through birth from the "holy thing" in Mary's borrowed womb, to produce a mortal man who is fully God and fully man. He was fully God because the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him. Did not the voice from Heaven said, "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased?" Or in whom I am pleased to dwell in! And in Mathew 17, that voice added the admonition "Hear Ye Him". After that, you can hear Jesus telling His disciples, If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. No more I pray the Father, because that Son has come of age unto Adoption of Sonship. As a growing man, He has to learn obedience and wisdom and yet He is Wisdom embodied or enmorphied or Kenoed into from the greek word Kenosis. Yes Melchizedek became Jesus Christ. On earth, Jesus was the Prince of Peace, yet Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6) but after the victory and communion, He is King of kings and Lord of Lords, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY (Rev 15:3). Amen.« 67 † Now we see the attribute, sons of His Spirit, have not yet entered into the Word-form body. But, a theophany; this body is subject to the Word and earnest, waiting for the earnest, change of the body. 68 Now, the different between Him and you, as a son. See, He was, at the beginning, the Word, an en morphe body. He came in and lived in that, in the Person of Melchisedec. Then, later, we never heard no more of Melchisedec, because He became Jesus Christ. Melchisedec was the Priest, but He became Jesus Christ. Now, you by-passed that. Because, in that form, He knowed all things, and you have never been able to know that yet. to be continued.....Do you now believe? |
