The Serpent Seed III – What kind of Tree is the Tree of Life?

Before we proceed on the Tree of Life in this article, we continue with the subject of the giants found in the land of Canaan.

We know that every seed produce after its kind. Any living thing which is cross breed is a hybrid because men or women have tempered with this in their scientific experiments, but found only cross breeding in the same genus and could not be of different species in a man-controlled environment, never in the wild, though unsupported claims were made that such hybrids do exist. So they are after the same kind according to the word of God. One fundamental truth about such hybrids was that they could never breed themselves back and most are non fertile. Brother Branham already pronounced this fact in his sermons hybrid religion. A mule can never breed itself back.

  32    Man's always trying to outsmart the very Creator that made him, and he doesn't do a thing but kill his self. As a few Sundays ago I preached on the--the "Hybrid Religion." That's exactly. When you hy-breed anything, you can never, it's done. It's finished; it can't come back no more. A mule can never breed back and have another mule, because he--he's a mule; he's a hybrid. Fine corn, you can't raise fine corn off of fine hybrid corn. It won't even... It might come up, but it's--oh, it's no good at all. You can't do it. Anything that's hybrid's no good.
And a hybrid religion's no good. As long as you're trying to add something to what God said, or do something that God don't want you to do, it's a hybrid religion. It might look pretty. Oh, hybrid corn will outshine the natural corn. An old mule will outwork two horses. Well, that's... It ain't working, brother; it's grace that we're saved by: not by works are we saved, but by grace. So that might...

A cross breeding of a Lion and Tiger – and by men's convention, called a “liger” (Male Lion, Female Tiger) is larger than its parents. But not the other way round. A cross breeding of a tiger and a lion can at best produce a tigion (Male Tiger, Female Lion) not larger than the female tiger. This is exactly what we are talking about with the hybridizing of Cain, who is of the wicked one, a giant. But when the sons of God took the daughters of men, they were men of renown. Renown does not mean their offspring were giants. The Word of God is specific.

That was why the curse on the serpent from being the most subtil to become a slithering snake, yet the movement and ways of the serpent remain fascinating and enchanting. Eve was enchanted because the bible said;

Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

The curse of the serpent from an upright being into a slithering one, in a “particular shape' and that Eve having labour pains from then on squarely demonstrated what that sin was. Adam on the other hand was not judged but the curse fell on the ground not yielding her fruits but by the toiling of men.

Paul wrote about this beguiling in the book of Corinthians.

2Co 11:2-3
(2) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The Greek word translated into English as beguiled means the same word in Hebrew of Genesis 3, when Eve confessed that the serpent beguiled her. There are other Hebrew words translated into the English word “beguiled” which means deceived. But not in these two cases. The original meaning means “defiled” , mentally, physically and spiritually. It was total. There was a physical act involved which produced Cain. The nature of Cain proved it that he was not from Adam who is the son of God and has all the attributes of the image of God.

So Paul pointed out to us that Adam was not deceived, for he could not be deceived, and the devil knew it, hence the attack on the woman, Eve.

1Ti 2:12-14
(12) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

(13) For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

(14) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

See, after the fall, the woman was subjected to her husband and her desire should be towards her husband, not another man. When Christ died on the cross, He paid the ultimate redemption price for us and we are potentially restored like the awakening of the prodigal son. Yes, he was a son, but he just doesn't know it, until he repented and went back to his father. Paul tells us victory over death and the grave comes from this redemption, the earth and all creatures waiting and groaning for this.

Rom 8:22-23
(22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

(23) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

This is the restitution of all things mentioned by the apostle Peter and John in the book of revelation gives us the preview of this, where the living are raptured in a moment, a twinkling of the eye...the translation (or rapture) bypassed the stage of death for these believers. This will be another subject as we turned our thoughts (not reasoning) back to the events taking place in the garden of Eden, the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life – what or who rather is this?

Gen 2:9
(9)  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And here in the above verse, we meet our semi-colon again. After pleasant to the sight, (comma) and good for food; (semi-colon) the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden, (comma) and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (obviously, not in the midst of the garden, because the Tree of Life occupied that position (I won't say space because it is not a fixed space, life cannot be stagnant).

We do not reason with God's Word, because you can't use reason for the “Absolute”. Absolute means final authority. When you read the Word of God, you take it as it is as soon as you can comprehend the words not by way of the reasoning mind such as trying to solve a mathematical puzzle, but by way of Revelation. That inside of the inside started to flash off  saying Amen to the Word of God. For example, the word “read” means read and the word “write” means write. You don't try to analyze these words because they are evident in their meaning. So it is with God's Word. When the Word says the soul that sinneth, it shall die, it means just that. So the words, Tree of Life, means just that. Life being the fruit, the leaves, the stem and the root. The Tree of Life cannot die, it is the very origin and source of LIFE (ZOE- God's own Life)  so it is not vegetable, else a botany tree would succumb to the explosive flood of the earth where the water only subsides after one year, 360 days in that year.

The characteristics of a Tree, if our language can be used to describe it, means a tree with roots, stems, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits with its seed after its own kind. And when we speak of the all the human families of the earth, we use the term family tree...or ancestors trees. That is not a botany tree we meant but we acknowledge the fact that a botany tree is named because it has its roots, stem, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits.

What and who is the root and offspring of David? Obviously, we know David came from Judah, who came from Abraham, who came from Adam! But Adam cannot be the offspring of David? He was the stem. Because the father of Adam is God. So God is the root of David. And only God can be the offspring, and He was in Jesus Christ. In the gospel of Mathew, we are told, that which is conceived in Mary was OF the Holy Ghost. So the Holy Ghost is the Father of Jesus! Mary was not the wife of God as some may want to believe. Mary was the incubator (a chosen vessel, the very opposite of Eve. Eve fell for Satan's lie, but Mary when told that she would bear the Holy Thing or seed, said, "be it unto me according to Thy Word." She not knowing any man, only being espoused to Joseph).  chosen by God to carry the Firstborn Son of God and that was the Word Seed, made human….the root and offspring of David.

And we know only God can give Life. So the Tree of Life is God in the midst of the Garden and HE presented Himself as a being coming down in the cool of the evening to have fellowship with His creation, Adam and Eve. That is something we learn today. God is a Being. We shall touch on the omnipresence of God in another topic, but not like some heathen religion saying God is everywhere, in the stone, in the walkways, in the air and in everything. If so, you would be sitting on a chair and believed that God is in the chair...which means you are sitting on ….??? We shall shed some light on this subject for future articles.

We know from Paul who wrote, the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus. He was the only man who can contained all of God. Does this revelation astound you? All of God was in a man called Jesus. Read Colossians 1:19 and 2:9. Brother Branham simplified it for us when he said, God was bottled in a man called Jesus.

Col 1:19
(19) For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 2:9
(9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

This is what I meant when I understood that His Word is Absolute. There is no variableness in these two verses. He was God in human flesh. You say all of God? Not I who say, but the Word says.

Then we begin to understand also 1 John 5:7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and these three ARE ONE. Not two, three or many, but ONE. Notice, the Word did not say, the ONE are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? But rather the Father, the WORD, and the Holy Spirit. See how precise is our bible. Oh, the absolute of it all! Amen.

Because verse 8 said, there are three that bear record on earth, water, blood and spirit and these three AGREE in one. Not they are ONE.

The Son was flesh and He died on the Cross. He rose from the grave and took back His own human form, as He was as Melchizedek when He met Abraham and served him communion, bread and wine. It is not Jesus Christ going back to become Melchizedek, but Melchizedek became Jesus Christ. The body died, arose and is glorified. As Melchizedek, He ate from the lamb which Abraham prepared for him, the choicest lamb reserved for the honored guest. The 11 disciples and many of the faithful women, at least 3 having the common name, Mary could not recognize Him, even thinking He was the gardener. He walked a six hours journey with two of the disciples, one called Cleopas, and they could not recognize Him too until He broke bread and REVEALED Himself to them. And their eyes were opened.

Listen to what Jesus said about Himself.

Joh 6:35
(35) And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Joh 6:47-48
(47) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

(48) I am that bread of life.

See where Life comes from? Are there two sources of Life? No. Some who pretended to be prophets claimed that the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil are two laws!??? How can a law bring or give Life? The law brings death...because for the transgressor of the law the judgement is death. Law don't give Life. So whoever claimed that the law is the tree of life, is a liar and you know who is the father of lies. You know a liar cannot enter the kingdom of heaven!

Pro 25:14
(14)  Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

The Tree of Life is a Person. And He is non other than the Lord Jesus Christ, a being who came down on the cool of the day, which is evening time…

Gen 3:8
(8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

The voice don't walk. It was the Lord God who was walking in the garden and they heard the voice of it. Holy, holy, holy unto the Lord, Holy, holy, holy unto the Lord. And they thought to hide from Him, because they had sin and lost that fellowship with Him. They hid themselves. Before we proceed, let us take more references from the bible on the Tree of Life.

Rev 2:7
(7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Now who is in the midst of the paradise of God? God Himself. Life comes from the Creator. The Tree of Life is a Person. So is the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil and by now, we know who that is. It is Satan, because our bible says, the day he was created, he was full of wisdom (the Tree of Knowledge....). See, Jesus Christ and Satan both were present in the Garden of Eden. One, the Tree of Life and the other, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The serpent was Satan's tool in order to beguile Eve and cause the whole human race to fall. That was the one thing Satan could use to start his evil plan.

Adam, an original son in his prime, the ruler of the whole earth, not by birth, but by the Spoken Word of God, knew and the only way to save the human race was to quicken the coming of the Lord Jesus, the seed of the woman. And he was in the transgression though he was not deceived. Abel and Seth both representing the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God do not speak with metaphors nor untrue analogies. He teaches us in types and shadows and truth.

You may say, hold on, brother. You say Satan is the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil? Do you have scriptures for that? I sure do. Forgive me for using the "I". There is no good in me, nothing to brag about, but it would be difficult to say, we sure do? Then some would ask, who are the "we". Let's go on and read some scriptures:-

Eze 31:9
(9)  I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him.

Eze 31:18
(18)  To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

Certainly we know Pharaoh was not in the garden of Eden. The prophet was identifying for us, who was behind Pharaoh.  The same one behind the serpent.  Here's more:-

Eze 28:12-15
(12)  Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
(13)  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
(14)  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
(15)  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

See, it was not the king of Tyrus which sealest the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. It was Satan or Lucifer, also called the morning star. Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God...Thou art the anointed cherub....Thou wast perfect in thy ways ...till iniquity was found in thee..

Reading these text leaves us no doubt that Satan was in the garden of Eden, amongst the Trees of the garden. The Word of God is our Absolute and no man can alter, add or subtract from it. Else they will receive the curses and their blessings taken away. Dare anyone tamper with the Word of God.

Further, 9 (nine) of the precious stones covering of Satan were part of the birthstones of the twelve tribes of Israel, except for 3 (three), and gold was not in the list of the tribal stones. Please expand chart attached for a full review (courtesy of Evening Light Art).

See, Satan can never give life because he cannot be our redeemer. The prophet told us, Satan was allowed one punch and we just got to take the Name of Jesus to lessen that one blow he is permitted to aim (it) at us.

We focussed our attention instead on the Tree of Life, which is more important. In Revelation 22, the Tree of Life was on either side of the river of the water of life, clear as crystal (pure and holy).  Now what river is that where the Tree of Life is on either sides. It is Christ (He, the Tree of Life) and the Bride (She, now possessing the Tree of Life for their names were already there). Let us go back to the opening verses of Psalms speaks about who the Tree of Life is.

Psa 1:1-3
(1)  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
(2)  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
(3)  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

There is no man can fulfil this requirement except One. The Lord Jesus Christ. That bringeth forth His fruit in His season and whatsoever He doeth shall prosper. Because He is the Author of Life. His fruit will always be in Season.

Now we take the verses of Rev.  22 and place them to be read with the above.

Rev 22:1-2
(1)  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
(2)  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

So this river of the water of life proceeds from the throne (one throne only) of God and of the Lamb (see, One God, the same Lamb, who was in the midst of the throne in Rev. Chapter 5

Rev 5:6
(6)  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

There are other verses referring to the Tree of Life as her fruits, or in Proverbs, Solomon spoke about Wisdom as "her" too. Now Wisdom is also an absolute word. Just like the colour of pure White. There are no blacks or dark spots, else it would not be called pure white. What are the fruits of the Tree of Life in His or her season? What was the fruit of Mary's womb? The Word. And the Word is always in season. Nothing but the Word. And we get this from the book of Isaiah, precept upon precept, precept upon precept,  line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little... (always in season)

Notice the gender change, This time, she, the Bride is given that authority to seat in His throne as He sat in His Father's throne. Now it is the throne of the Heavenly Bridegroom ruling with the Queen by His side. This queen, the wife possess the Tree of Life, which was guarded from mankind since the fall of Adam and Eve. And the only way back to it was through Redemption. There is nothing we need to do or anything we can do but Christ made a way for us. Only believe. Christianity is all about REST. Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST (Sabbath).

Isa 28:12-13
(12)  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
(13)  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Mat 11:28
(28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
