Serpent Seed II – The Giants or (Hebrew: Nephilims) of Genensis 6 and Numbers 13

In continuation of my understanding of the truth of the Serpent Seed, we now examine the various erroneous conclusion of who these Nephilims were. The root word, “Naphal” (which means “to fall”) for Nephilims already identifies the giants as fallen or devoid of the mercy of God…..

We bring the verses of Genesis 6 before us and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in our understanding of these important verses, the very seed chapter of our bible.

Gen 6:1-6

(1) And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
(2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
(3) And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
(4)
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown
(5)
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
(6)
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

See, how the Holy Spirit guide us to now understand that as much as Genesis 5 spoke of the generation of Adam, whose direct line of descendants up to Noah were called the sons of God. Genesis 6 now refers us to men (not Adam, so it must be Cain) and daughters were born unto them. So clearly this identifies the daughter of men as of Cain's line. Why this distinction? We proceed...

And the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair (beautiful and attractive more towards seductive), and they took them wives (not wife, as in one wife, but wives as in more than one) of all which they chose (not as one man in each group choosing a female, but of all they chose). Now read verse 4 prayerfully with understanding. There were giants (Hebrew word, the Nephilims) in the earth in those days; (see the semi-colon. What is the meaning of the semi-colon. What does it do, this special punctuation mark? Notice the clause which followed, and also after that, (there is the comma here) which means the next clause is related but not directly linked to the statement about the giants). After that...Now it depends on who is explaining or interpreting this to you. If a theologian, he will have to say, 1) that after an event, there were giants

or 2) that the clause meant they (the giants) came about from the union of the sons of God and the daughters of men.

Almost every theologian if not all can't see that the giants were there already prior to the sons of God taking the daughters of men as wives of all and before any event or events.

The use of the semi-colon is highly appropriate for bible text, because seemingly two different clauses distinctive to itself but are connected in some ways. Many such examples abound in the precise use of the translation from the original Hebrew text to English in our bible. Such as this :

Gen 4:1

(1) And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

See, the above verse is another example of the application of the semi-colon. And Adam knew Eve his wife; (semi-colon) and she conceived, (comma) and bare Cain, (comma) and said, (comma) I have gotten a man from the Lord.

The first comma definitely linked the conception and the bearing of Cain. Her words, “I have gotten a man from the LORD.” that it was from the Lord, gotten a man from the Lord (not from her husband, hence, these three commas do not relate to Adam at all), but watch the next verse, where the semi-colon comes back in with the conjunction “And”.

Gen 4:2

(2) And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

The numbering system used in the bible is for reference to find the right verses in the right chapter. It was added to help us to read our bible because every Word of God is sound, good for reproof, for correction and doctrine for us. We will meet the semi-colon again when we continued with Serpent Seed III; The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Without the numbering, the two verses becomes :

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

The semi-colon linked the Adam knew his wife as the birth of Abel, not Cain. Because she did not say it was from the Lord ...but Adam was the father of Abel. Hence in the first article, the tract written by Brother R Searle, “Was It An Apple?” clearly followed that Cain was of the wicked one and was not in the reckoning of Adam's genealogy, for the first born always received the birth right unless they were backslidden as was Reuben. And certainly Cain did not earn that birthright not because he backslid (that he got it and lose it), but because he was not the son of Adam and never got it in the first place. You can't find any scriptures that linked Cain as the son of Adam.

Not a single place in our bible. But the bible did say Cain was of the wicked one. Certainly Adam was not wicked? And when the evil one, Cain slew Abel, Seth was born to replace Abel, a shadow of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And Eve now says, “God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew”. Gen 4:25. See, Adam knew his wife again; (the use of semi-colon pointing us back to the first verse, Adam knew his wife (once) and now again. This time Eve acknowledged that Seth was appointed to replace Abel, whom Cain slew.

Cain certainly had no part in Adam's genealogy. No where in the bible was Cain listed under Adam's genealogy. This cannot be overemphasized as in both the physical and spiritual aspects, Cain was not after its own kind. that of Adam. But he was after his another kind.  In Genesis, the seed chapter, every tree and seed was after its kind. Abel bore the full characteristics of Adam, but not Cain, who bore the characteristics of the wicked one, Satan.

Gen 4:25

(25) And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

Are we clear now, that the giants were the genealogy and make up of Cain. And they were there before the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair and took to themselves wives of all. No, Cain's wife was not one of the monkeys, because monkeys are not after the same kind of the same blood, but it had to be a daughter of Adam and Eve, where daughters birth were seldom recorded unless God had His prophet, Moses, the writer of the first five books of the bible, mentioned it...such as Naamah.

Gen 4:22

(22) And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

Some assumed that because Naamah was mentioned that she was the wife of Noah. Noah was the prophet God used to warn the people of the impending disaster. He was perfect before God, so based on this scripture alone, it would be presumptuous to make it like this was their revelation of Noah taking Naamah as wife. We must be careful not to add or take away from the scriptures for so as God warned us not to do so.

Gen 6:8-9
(8)  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
(9)  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Again, the ages of Cain's line was not mentioned at all. Lamech was the sixth generation to Cain and it was recorded that he took two wives, Adah and Zillah. Genesis being the seed chapter, shows us that Polygamy begins with Cain's line too. How young was the second wife, we do not know, but we can't just base the age of Naamah and assumed she was the contemporary of Noah. Noah being found perfect by God. He was righteous before God. The mentioning of Naamah, a daughter of men, could mean either Ham or Japheth took her as wife, but again the bible did not elaborate so we best leave that out. More importantly, the mentioning of the daughters of men, clearly helps us to understand what is to follow after the flood. (the next article, we will elaborate on Genesis 3:15, the curse on the serpent, who was upright, could converse and reason, even quoting God's word back to Eve, but added his own interpretation to it and why there was enmity between the woman and the serpent, the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman). Oh, yes, the serpent had his seed.

My apologies for this redundant way of showing this up, but this is important. It demonstrated why there had to be a blood sacrifice, that all are cleanse by blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. But animal blood will not suffice. Neither the blood of humans, because we are creatures of death, once this disobedience took place by Eve. Death comes to all who came from Eve after that. Only two persons in the bible, were not of the woman, Adam and Jesus Christ. Hence Jesus Christ was called the Last Adam. As Adam was the first man, Paul wrote that Jesus Christ was the second man! Only two in the bible. So you see, that the heathen worship of offering children's blood or blood of a virgin was of no avail. For all that came (born) from the woman had to die. There is no goodness in any of us so we need the Spotless and Sinless man, the man Jesus Christ, to be that sacrifice, that by His enduring and suffering to the end, that He was made sin for us to take our place.

Heb 5:7-9

(7) Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
(8)
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
(9)
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Now back to the topics on the giants of Genesis 6. Notice, that the union produced another characteristic not related to just being giants. They were men of renown, they were mighty men. Nothing said about the men of renown or mighty men were giants, so theologians can only infer it could mean that or admit that it could mean the first 1).

We have a scripture for that too, the son of Cush, Nimrod was called the mighty hunter, a man of renown or a mighty one in the earth. But no indication that Nimrod was a giant. See, Nimrod came from Ham, hence we know the mighty and renown came from the union of the sons of God and the daughters of men. Are we able to identify who could be Ham's wife? Now where did the giants after the flood came from? They were identified to be from Canaan, another son of Ham.

Gen 10:6

(6) And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

Gen 10:8-9

(8) And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
(9) He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

Let's pause a moment now and reflect on what the bible is telling us. Remember, every scripture is inspired and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

2Ti 3:16-17

(16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Now theologians can't see the underlying truth, but inferred again erroneously that another group of fallen angels took up human forms and slept with the women of the earth to produce these giants found in the land of Canaan. When the Hebrew spies came to spy out the land of Canaan, they saw these giants and became fearful, even exaggerating that they looked like grasshoppers compared to these giants in Canaan. They were the sons of Anak, the Anakims, which came from the giants and men of great stature. Such as Rephaim, Emim, Horim, Zamzummim and Avim...

This deduction by theologians caused believers problems because they overstepped the truth in scriptures that such fallen angels had the power to press themselves into human bodies, not just as evil spirits occupying existing bodies but giant bodies. The prophet told us that neither Satan nor his hordes of angels have the power of creation. This can be seen in the magician of Egypt trying to duplicate the plagues of Moses upon Pharaoh and the Egyptians.

When Moses called for frogs to infest the land, the magicians did likewise, because the frogs were already there. But when Moses called for the dust to become lice, the magicians could not do so, because there were creative powers to turn the dust into lice.

Exo 8:16-18

(16) And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
(17) And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
(18) And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.

Now a prophet is different. A prophet has the Word of God and will interpret to you the true meaning of that text. Which is the giants were not a result of the sons of God taking the daughters of men, but that the giants were already in existence. In fact, Cain was the father of these giants, average height of 9 cubits (above 10 feet)  and his wife was from the daughters of Adam and Eve. The seed of the serpent taking a daughter of Adam and Eve as wife, not the other way round. But they too were builders of cities, dwelt in tents, handling of musical instruments (the harp and organ) and the knowledge of bronze (iron and brass) making. Can you see the clear passage..that there were giants before and after...

Num 13:28-33

(28) Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
(29) The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
(30) And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
(31) But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
(32) And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
(33) And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

The bible gave us the measurement of the bedstead of the remnant of giants, the king of Og.

Deu 3:11
(11)  For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Who were the sons of God in Genesis 6 becomes the obvious continuing question. It is like a dominant seven note….it begs to be resolved to the original tone. Many declared or misunderstood that the original sin was in the garden of Eden when Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat of the forbidden fruit. If so, what caused Satan to be cast out from heaven? Was he not the father of sin? Then sin must have originated when Satan was in heaven, and that would be the origin of sin, or original sin….Now what is sin? Was it pride? Was it haughtiness? Was it Satan's pursuit to challenge Christ for the throne and fought with Michael, the Archangel. The prophet identified sin from the words of Jesus Christ...you sin because you believe not...so SIN IS UNBELIEF. That was how Satan was kicked out from his estate because he wanted to be as the most high, to sit in the sides of the North..to rule over God's creation….as a tyrant rather than as a benevolent king. For in Satan is found nothing good but all wickedness.

The prophet William Branham gave us the revelation of what is that Serpent seed mentioned in Genesis 3:15, as compared to the seed of the woman, Eve. Now we know that women do not carry the seed germ of life, but rather provide the active environment to allow the seed of the man to develop thereby the male seed determines the sex of the baby, by the provision or omission of the “y” chromosome. The Life germ comes from the male. Without the male germ, the egg stays dormant. In the first article, Serpent Seed I we demonstrated that it was not an apple or any botanical fruit that Eve partook of, but rather both Adam and Eve were warned by God, by His Word not to eat of the fruit in the midst of the garden. What is a fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden? Was it a botanical tree that flowered and bear edible fruits? What about the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil? Are these also botanical trees?  In the continuing article, we shall enlarge on these two trees, what they are and what becomes of them today?

We are told not to add or take away from God's Word. There is a description of a  garden which reference to the garden of Eden...but when we apply our word of knowledge, we find in the songs of Solomon, a reference to the shepherd girl, being a garden.

Now when we make statements like this, we must have at least two or three scriptures to back us up, because it is God's declared will, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses, let everything be established.

Song 4:12

(12) A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

And nothing could be plainer than these verses:-

Song 4:3-6

(3) Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.
(4) Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.
(5) Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.
(6) Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.

Did we not commonly say, the baby is the fruit of the womb? A garden inclosed? A spring shut up? A fountain sealed?

Next we continue with Serpent Seed III; What are the two Trees in the midst of the Garden?
