The Blast and Mist (Fog) II

A brother captured all the relevant quotes pertaining to the Angelic Visitation, the chronology of and the supernatural remark about the Angels by the prophet, three (Editor: in fact four) of which referred to the Angels returning (to where they were coming from, is my understanding, or "going up"). He gave me the link to the Only Believe Magazine printed in 2007 and summarised the quotes in the same year. So this is not written up to answer these new younger critics who should have been taught how to judge a matter with all facts before they jumped into the fray to get themselves fried. I will try to place the quotes in proper order.

He named it "The Blast".

Quotation:-

The reason why i am asking is that it is about time, we know the sequence of events, because all these years, God had allowed message ministers trying to decipher the meaning of that Cloud picture relating to Rev 10:1-6, when we know he said, He was coming to the Jews and judgement was on, because the feet were brass, and many misinterpreted that feet to be possession (though correct) applying it too early and not placing it correctly within the specific time zone. You will find that Brother Branham does not refer it as "Cloud" except when referring to the photograph. He called it "mist" or "fog". There is something tied to it. .

  E-7    When I come, one thing, was by a vision, that I was standing above Tucson up here when a blast went off. Brother Fred was there when it went off. And they took that picture, you know, in the sky. And I didn't think much about it, never noticed it. so it begin to impress me somehow the other day. And Brother Norman, Norma's father here, told me, said, "Did you notice this?"
And just as I looked, right there was them angels just as plain as they could be, setting right there in that picture. You see? I looked to see when it was, and it was time, same about day or two before or, day or two after I was up there. I looked where it was at: northeast of Flagstaff, or Prescott, which is below Flagstaff. Well, that's just where we was at (See?), just exactly.

(above quote means Bro Branham was not at the scene when the picture was taken in the evening at around 5 to 6 pm. Remember that hunting season starts from 1st March to 10th March, the days of the month in fact corresponding to the fifty jubilee of 2013).

  560-1  {268}    Now, have you noticed the mysterious parts of this week? That's what it is. That's what it's been. It's been, not a human being, a man; it has been the Angels of the Lord. Notice, there's witnesses of three setting in here, that a week ago (a little over a week ago) I was up way back into the mountains, nearly to Mexico, with two brethren that's setting here, picking cocklebur--or sand burrs off of my trouser leg, and a blast went off that almost, looked like, shook the mountains down. Now, that's right. I never told my brethren, but they noticed a difference. And He said to me, "Now, be ready. Go east."
Here's the interpretation of that vision. See? "Now, to let you know, Brother Sothmann has not got the game that he went after." We was trying to get it for him. And He said, "Now, tonight, for a sign to you, he isn't going to do it. You must consecrate yourself at this time for the visitation of these Angels." And I felt beside myself, you remember. And I was in the west; the Angels was coming east. And as they come by, I was picked up with them (You remember that?), coming east.

(Now the above quote places the actual visitation just about a week or more from the day he was preaching the Seventh Seal - 24th March 1963 Evening Service. Also bear in mind that he was completely locked down in his room from day 1 of preaching the Seals from 17th or 18th  March 1963).

Note that he slotted Q&A after the sixth seal. You would think, Q&A should be after the 7th Seal as was the precedent sermons on the Seven Church Ages.

Now when Brothers  Fred and Bro Gene were reporting their stories to Sister Rebekah in her Only Believe magazine, they said, they did not see the angels, but heard the blast which is correct as you can also read from what Brother Branham said about "how far apart they were" at that time, and that "he caught up with them later".

  12    And I--I just come over a little ridge where there was a lot of jagged rock, and there's a--a deer trail come down the other side about, oh, forty, fifty yards beneath the cliff. And it was about, oh, it was up in the day. I'd say 8:00 o'clock or 9:00, wouldn't you think something like that, Brother Fred? Maybe 9:00 o'clock, something? I run over on this side quickly to keep the javelinas from seeing me. They're wild boar, you know, and they're pretty scary.
So I--I went over the hill this way and cut--and started to run up the hill, and I just run along in a little--what we call a dog trot; and all of a sudden the whole country just rung out. I never heard such a terrific blast. Just shook, and the rocks rolled. And I felt like I--I must've jumped five feet off the ground, looked like. It just--just scared me. And I thought, "Oh, my..." I thought I'd gotten shot, that somebody... I had on a black hat. I thought they might've thought it was a javelina running up the mountain, somebody had shot me. It went so loud right on me like that. Then all at once something said, "Look up." There it was. Then He told me, "It's the opening of those Seven Seals; turn home." So here I come.

  14    I met Brother Fred and Brother Norman about a hour later when I found them, and they were excited and talking about it. And there it is. And science says that it's impossible for--for any kind of a--a mist or anything get that high, fog, vapor. See, it'll only go just... I wouldn't know.
I--I--we--when we go overseas, we travel nine thousand feet; that's above the storms. That's approximately about four miles. And say, let's say maybe it's fifteen miles till you can't get no more vapor. But this was twenty-six miles, and she hung there all day. See? They don't know what it is. But thank the Lord, we do. Thank you, Brother Hickerson. I'll keep it on my desk in there, and when they write the book, why, then we can have it.

(Here Bro Branham said, it was between 8 to 9 o'clock in the morning, and only after an hour later, did he meet up with Bro Fred and Gene.  Obviously, they were far away and could not have seen the Angels talking to Bro Branham, or commissioning him. They must have heard the blast. He said, he jumped about 5 feet off the ground, and in the vision, he said, not higher than the roof of the Tabernacle, when narrating the vision on Dec 30th Evening, 1962.) Now watch how he described the time, sun coming up, when he saw the hogs, how far he had to run or trot to be in front of them and finally the Blast, and later catching up or finding the two brothers at the rendervous point head straight home to Jeffersonville on the 12th according to Brother Eugene Norman).

Now comes the stickler:-

  53-4  {345}    Here, let me just tell you a little bitty thing, and then I hope I'm not hurting too much. But, look. The other day I was called to Houston, Texas, to try to get a pardon... I gathered some people together to preach a message to get people there to sign a pardon of--of this young fellow and young girl, you know, that got in that trouble (I guess you've read about it in the paper) and that was Mr. Ayers' step son.
Mr. Ayers is the one who had taken the picture of the Angel of the Lord that you see right there: a Roman Catholic, and his wife was Jewish.

(Bro Branham had to go back to Houston Texas to try to get a pardon for Mr Ayers' step son on death row, he and probably his young girl friend- The date: 4th March 1963, he preached "The Absolute". We as sincere message believers, must establish for ourselves, whether the Blast occurs before this visit or after this visit, but that is evident from these narrations as you will soon see). He also said that they successfully got enough signatures to appeal to the courts to commute the death sentence to life imprisonment with parole.

This is how it was reported in the Arizona Republic newspaper, March 26, 1967:

Fred H. Sothman, a 52 year-old Canadian wheat farmer who moved to Tucson in 1962 to be closer to the religious leader, was one  of two persons with Mr. Branham that day the cloud appeared. Sothmann's account:

"Reverend Branham and another brother, Gene Norman, and myself were well up into the mountains hunting javelina. I remember it was late in the afternoon, a clear warm day with not a cloud in the sky. The Three of us were spread out in different directions, perhaps about half a mile apart from each other.

Then all of a sudden I heard this tremendous blast like a jet plane breaking the sound barrier, only much louder. Many rocks began to roll down the mountain not far from me. I instinctively looked over in the direction of Brother Branham, but couldn't actually see him for he was behind a knoll. But just above him I saw this strange circular-shaped cloud rise into the air. It was kind of small at first, but the higher it rose the bigger it became."

Startled by the blast and the tumbling rocks, Southmann said he didn't grasp the significance of the cloud then. "But when Brother Branham and I got together a few minutes later." he said, "he told me that seven angels appeared to him and had instructed him to go home (to Jeffersonville, Ind.) and reveal the meaning of the seven seals of Revelation (chapters 6 through 8).

  "After he moved to Tucson, he invited Brother Fred Sothmann and myself to hunt with him at Sunset during the javelina season of 1963, which opened on the first day of March and lasted for ten days.  Brother Branham had to go to Houston, Texas, on the fourth of March for a meeting, so we missed the first few days of the season.  But just as soon as he got home, the three of us headed for Sunset in Brother Fred's truck early one morning.

Brother Norman continues:

"The next morning he showed us which direction to go in, me in one direction and Brother Fred around the other side of the hill.  He said he was going out on a point where he had seen javelina the previous afternoon and he thought he could run them down to us.  I went down to the bottom of the hill as he had told me, and, once again, just like the first day, I started weeping for no apparent reason.  That made three times that it had happened.

As soon as it had passed, I once again started walking.  I had gone just a few steps when what sounded like a tremendous explosion stopped me dead in my tracks.  I quickly looked around expecting to see a ball of fire, or at the very least a cloud of dust, but there was nothing.  The air was still.  I looked up into the sky but saw nothing more than a couple of long, wispy clouds.  I stood there for a few moments, then continued to head in the direction that would eventually bring me to the pre-arranged meeting place the three of us had agreed on earlier.

Brother Fred and I arrived a few minutes apart at the place where Brother Branham was waiting for us.  The first thing he said to us was, "Did you hear that blast?"  I told him, "I've never heard anything quite like that before, in town or out of town."  And that was the only mention he made to us concerning the blast.

We continued with our hunting, and returned to Tucson a couple of days later .

On March 12, Brother Branham and I left Tucson in his car on our way to Jeffersonville, where he had scheduled services at the Branham tabernacle to preach on "The Revelation of the Seven Seals".

The same magazine contains an article by Douglas McHughes whose eyes were healed and whose mother's feet were healed.  He was present when the wirlwind came down on Sunday 1st March 1964.  

What do you read of this quote below? i think they say the same thing as the witnesses of Brothers Fred and Gene. However, Bro Fred said it was late afternoon, whereas both Bro Branham and Bro Gene placed the blast as in the morning or early afternoon, the sun must be petty bright on that morning.

So the account of Javelina hunting season started on 1st March, which they missed, because they have to go to Houston. On 4th March, Bro Branham preached the Absolute.

Here the quote says, in para 63, So then, and GOING BACK, I went up in the mountain ......

If this is so, and the Blast happened sometime between at least 6th March and 10th March, then all those "wonderful" "jubilant" "shouting glory" account of Christ descending on 28th Feb is just making a lot of noises without understanding??? Am i too harsh to say that? Further, he said the picture was taken when the Angels were going up? i will try to find that quote. (indeed, there are four such quotes of Angels going up, not coming down, but one quote on the angels coming, not coming down, but coming.

60 A few days after that I was coming out from a meeting, had a three page telegram, was from over here at . And that man that criticized me so bad the night that the Angel of the Lord was taken, the picture of It taken there at , he called me up, he said--sent a telegram, the wife said, "I know, Brother Branham, you're busy. My son, Ted Kipperman's sister's boy, is setting in the death row to die in the chair." Said... (what if that was Billy Paul?). He said, "He and a little girl has got to die." And you all read it in the paper, of course. And said, "Only hope we have is for you come and hold a meeting and get the people together."

61 And Raymond Huckstra had already wrote me several times, but you know, I'd planned there at that meeting to go on a hunting trip with Mr. McAnally and them. And I thought, "Well, if I let them kids die and don't put my effort forth, I'll never be able to go hunting again."

So I said, "All right, I'll come." I come over to , had the meeting, and 'course the--they never killed them, they just they give them life. And that's what they wanted them to do, just give them life. So that's about twenty one years, I guess, in--in .

63 So then, and going back, I went up in the mountain and I went with Brother Fred Sothmann. He's here somewhere. Brother Fred, where are you at? Right here. Brother Fred Sothmann, Brother Gene Norman; one day, the second day setting there, the Angel of the Lord came right down into the camp where we was at and begin to tell about their children and things they were doing.

I left and went back on the hill. And I'd already got my javelina; I was trying to chase one around to Brother Fred. So I found where they'd been eating on the side of a hill, and I said, "Well, now, I'll tell you what I'll do, Brother Fred." I said, "Now, you go over on that point in the morning." We go up there at daylight, climb up over the mountain. "And go there at daylight, I'll get over on the other side. Now, I won't shoot one, but if they run this way, I'll shoot in front of them and turn them back. You pick out a big one."

"All right," he said.

66 So Brother Fred went over there. And Brother Gene Norman (I don't think Brother Gene come, did he?), he was--he was on the other side. Many of you know Gene Norman, a bosom friend of many, fine brother. And he went down a little below where the--them pigs, they just wasn't there that morning. I could see Brother Fred, wave at him, he was about a mile away from me. Well, I thought, "Where could they have went?" I went down into a great ravine, and come down; I thought, "I'll see if I can find where they're at." Started back up. It was just a little after daylight; the sun was just begin coming up.

67 And I went around a great big chasm, oh, my, hundreds and hundreds of feet, just great rocks in the great canyon there, them big walls. And it was kindly getting... The sun was raising up, about seven o'clock, I guess, or something like that. And I set down and I was looking around; I happened to look down on my trouser leg and there was that bull-header, burr. And I said, "You know, that seems strange. You know, the Angel of the Lord told me I'd be about forty miles northeast of ; I'd be picking a bull-header off of my leg." You remember I seen it? Uh-huh. See? And I said, "That's strange." I was holding it.

68 And just as I looked up, I seen about twenty hogs about five hundred yards from me, come out eating this little phyllary and laid down. I said, "Now, if I can just get Brother Fred and get him around to that point there, he'll get his hog right there. But I know he's about a mile or two from me now." So I said, "if I could cross over this little ridge without them seeing me, up by this little juniper tree there," I said, "if I get around this side, there's a deer trail comes down this side; I can run up there and get out of the way. And hang a little piece of paper here where I know which one of the fingers to go out on, on the canyon, and get Brother Fred there just in time."

69 I throwed this little bull-header down, forgetting about that, and started across the hill real easy and looked back, they didn't see me, and run down and hit this deer trail. I had a great big black hat on. I started running up through this canyon real fast, and it happened.

The whole earth shook, everywhere. Rocks that size rolled down, dust flying like that. And I looked, and standing before me stood seven Angels, just exactly the way it was. I felt like I was standing way up off the ground. First, I thought somebody'd shot me, you know, with that black hat on; looked like a javelina hog, anyhow, you know, they're dark. I thought somebody'd shot me, such a... right close. And I--I seen then what it was. Well, as soon as... I got my commission, and the Scripture, "The Seven Seals which is the seven mysteries..." See?

71 Someone said to me, said, "Now..." Oh, he said, "Well, now, someday the Lord, probably you seeing visions, Brother Branham, will reveal to you what these things are; we can all get closer to God and have more power than we get in speaking in tongues and things."

I said, "It can't be that way."

'Cause, see, I believe the Word to be the Truth. And the Bible said, "Whosoever shall add one word or take one Word from It." It has to be in this Word. See? It's the mysteries that the people's overlooked. Well, right there is where come my Message of serpent seed and the true belief of the security of the believer.
