Categories: My commentary of the Songs of Solomon, from a hint by and of the truth by our prophet messenger of the Seven Church Age, William Marriam Branham. When Brother Branham was almost at the closing part of his ministry as the chronological unfolding of the Bible begins as early as the 1950's, over 1188 ( I considered it to be 1188 because of the variances in finding more sermons) recorded sermons. This hint was when he was preaching the sermon The Future Home of the Heavenly Bridegroom and Earthly Bride. Many claimed we are glorifying the man, William Branham, but just look at the title of the Sermon. Who was he focussing on? The Heavenly Bridegroom! And who is this Heavenly Bridegroom? Of course the false accusers of the ministry of William Branham know that it was our Lord Jesus Christ whom we are talking about, not His servant of Luke 14, a servant (singular) sent to invite believers to come for the wedding supper. But alas, most of the invited guests were too busy with their earthly ventures and were tied to their own possessions to attend the wedding supper. They deny and forfeited the only opportunity to come for the great love feast in the sky. They all had their soup suppers, their over glorified building programs and their fixation with the denominated system, the off mentioned incubator from which they the chickens were hatched. Incubated chickens are so busy about chirping and doing nothing. No mammy to go to, frolicking in their own senseless directions, walled in by the denomination system. The potential Bride is not so. Though she was walled in, and protected by her guardians, in this case, her brothers, called them theologians or denominational men, yet her lover came calling, like Romeo and Juliet. He called her “standing behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice”. She spoke about her home town in Lebanon and yet was found seeking her lover in the streets of Jerusalem, the most Holy city. Why, the prophet said just take one or two verses from the bible and he could preach years of sermons on them because the stimulation comes from the revelation from the Word of God, which is the Eternal thoughts of God expressed. Do you know what the word “eternal” really means? It means it has no beginning and ending. The Word of God was God as revealed in John's gospel, chapter 1 verse 1. No need to reason why, but Only Believe! Readers of the Song of Solomon from which the book is titled, yes Solomon, were misled by these theologians until the message The Future Home...... They taught that the beautiful and comely dark beauty rejected Solomon's advances even though he displayed and promised her promotion and glory sitting with him as a queen, that she preferred her shepherd boy lover who exhibited the true nature of the carefree and borderless confines of a hard at work sheep herder of which the tribes of Judah were inheritors from Abraham to Jacob, who were great shepherd boys. Did you catch that? Who was King David before he slew Goliath? A shepherd boy! Even the Chinese festivals spoke of the 7th day of the Seventh month, of the annual meeting allowed by the supreme court of heaven for the beautiful fairy to meet her shepherd (cowherd) boy, a Chinese Valentine day! Ah, the love story of the shepherd boy told and untold, even in the Zodiac! You know the other religion's aversion to the feast days of the Jewish calendar, yet in this Chinese love story, the day the bride and groom was allowed to meet was the 7th day of the 7th month. And what was this festival in the Jewish Calendar? The Feast of Trumpets, a holy convocation, a sabbath, the blowing of the horn to signify the calling of the assembly to welcome the Bridegroom. The seventh trumpets to usher in the Millennium reign on earth. Oh, my, all the beautiful types and stories in the old testament speaks of the New. I am truly excited. Back in the days of my youth, when I was reading the bible through and through, and when I was told not to be part of a Christian cell group because of my understanding of the scriptures, I quoted these very verses, 11) For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; (12) The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; (13) The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. That is the season and it is now, “the calling away from the winter of gloom into Spring when the flowers appear and the time of singing of birds is come and the voice of the turtle is heard”. The rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys were not titles given to the Bride, but the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ. Who was he in the story of the song of Solomon! An unknown shepherd boy or could it be Solomon himself, who was a type of Christ, the one promised to David to sit in his throne after him. But the kingdom was promised forever and ever....so it can't be just referring to Solomon who being a man even though the wisest man ever born on earth had to give up the ghost eventually.....Solomon excelled in everything he did but realised he can't escape death! There was only one who could and that was our Lord Jesus Christ. When He died, He rose again. He said I lay down my life and I (personal pronoun) take it up again! That was the promised Son of King David who sits in His Father's throne until He takes the Bride with Him to be His Queen and then He will be sitting on His own Throne. We know the Fig tree refers to Israel as the national symbol. She has put forth her green figs, being once again restored and declared the Nation of Israel, with the 3,000 years, the oldest flag in the history of the world flying again, the six pointed star of David! Jesus came from glory. He left His Father's throne from the beginning to become a common man on earth so that He could take His Bride, by dying on the Cross, the most humiliating torture and punishment, a human could bear...a crown of thorns on His head, a wound of a spear so deep from the right side of his chest into the very sanctum of His heart and nails biting into His palms and leg, nails as thick as 3/4 inch. Lashes on His body tearing His flesh out until His bones could be seen! All this because of His love for us!
When I survey the wondrous cross Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast See, from his head, his hands, his feet Were the whole realm of nature mine, Yes, Solomon disguised himself as the shepherd boy so that he could be near the one he loved. He knew she would not go for the glitter of his kingdom and he proved it by enticing her with his offers which she rejected without a wink! She was in love with the humble and simple shepherd boy who gave her so much joy and comfort to be near with. His left hand under her head and his right hand doth embraced her. They were so in love, that she forgot all sense of time. And yes, his very comfort was her desire! Son 2:1-17 (1) I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. (2) As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. (3) As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. (4) He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. (5) Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. (6) His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me. (7) I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please. (8) The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. (9) My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice. (10) My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. (11) For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; (12) The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; (13) The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. (14) O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely. (15) Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. (16) My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. (17) Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether. See, when I was reading my bible, the story could not come together because the King did not get his Bride, but we know our King did get His Bride. The heavenly Bridegroom and earthly Bride. Now do you know why it takes a prophet to reveal the Word! Now it all comes together. It was the young Solomon who adorned his mask as the shepherd boy to win over the earthly girl. She was not bound to her denominational brothers, she was free to meet her bridegroom. Had Solomon come the rich man, she would have rejected him because she was not desirous of vainity and fortune. She was down to earth and loves the freedom of roaming in God's creation. 64-0802 - The Future Home Of The Heavenly Bridegroom And The Earthly Bride Indeed, we are talking about the promise of this Divine Architect, who is going to call the Bride home one of these days and takes her to her heavenly home. To woo her, a gentile from our "Lebanon", the King disguised himself as the young shepherd boy, because he was looking for a wife with a certain character. Not after fame or fortune or the glitter that comes with bring Queen such as Jezebel, the wife of Ahab. What a contrast. This country girl was not moved at all by Solomon's enticement but instead love the simple shepherd nature. In Chapter 5, she could describe him so vividly because he was her spouse. So, who was this Shepherd boy, who knew his stuff because he was the inheritor of King David's nature and skills. He knows his sheep! Yes, God knows you and wants you to come back to Him. Not as a servant but as the Bride. Do not forfeit this opportunity. You are invited to come. |
