Faith Cometh By Hearing

Categories: Faith cometh by hearing Rom 10:17 (17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:18 (18) But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Today, with the proliferation of multi-media where such media can be held in the palm of a child's hand, it is almost instantaneous, making apparent this marketing maxim, “information at your fingertips “. With this media, I was able to view "how to cook..." trying my hand for the first time in cooking spaghetti “al dente” with herbal sauce and basil chiffonade. In the tuition centre, a 10 year old kid googled his science or maths questions and the answers came back with equations solved in fractional speed even offering alternative solutions. But hold on, what say Romans 10:18? It says THEIR SOUND WENT INTO ALL THE EARTH AND THEIR WORDS UNTO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD!!! And we are near the END so the sound of the Gospel is still by hearing! But what has this got to do with the subject we are attending to? Truly, It is a very important subject. It is our very life and death. Why was the last day messenger not able to take advantage of such powerful presentations, His life was cut short by a car accident? Jesus was crucified just exactly after three and a half years of ministry at the age of 33 years old. Look how He had changed this world. He did not have the mass media we have today and yet He conquered the world with His words. Look at what He has achieved with His Eleven disciples, Paul being a later additon and Paul wrote most of the New Testament's letters. Truly faith cometh by hearing not seeing. Exo 34:28 I spent time looking into this as it became clearer and clearer to me that after the opening of the Word, with his complete message preached on Future home, a direct exposition of the last chapter of the book of Revelation, Chapter 22, that his duty on earth and obligation to the Bride of Christ, the Church was completed as much as Eliezer's was too (completed) to Rebekah when he introduced her to Isaac. Isaac was out in the field when the camel train came with the Bride. See, Rebekah was brought to Isaac riding on the same camels she gave drink to. And we are brought to our Lord Jesus by the washing of the water of the Word. See how simple this story refuted the false accusation that there are people who worshipped Brother Branham? As the serpent beguiled Eve, so are these falsely annointed ones beguling the Elect to draw disciples away to themselves. In other words, while they are accusing message believers of worshiping a man, they want their own disciples to worship themselves with their sly words; words of death and not of life. Unbelief is sin and it is called the sin of unbelief. Joh 16:9 Did God fulfilled the vision of Brother Branham when he was a young boy? That he will be meeting kings and potentates, dignitaries around the world? Here is the account of it. 54-1003M THE.WORD.BECAME.FLESH.INDIA.TRIP.REPORT_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-26 N-5 SUNDAY_ 7 Then we went from there to Rome. And right... Well, I visit the great catacombs where the Christians worshipped in the beginning, the early ages. And there we had such a marvelous experience to go down, especially in the Saint Angelo Catacomb. And of course, our guides strictly were Catholic. But they tried to say they were Catholic, but all the inscriptions and everything showed that it was different; it wasn't. You see? And then from there we went to the Vatican City. And in the Vatican City, I had a marvelous time, and had a healing service, right in the shadows of Saint Peter's Cathedral there; a great meeting. And literally just all they could get around, where we had to do it secretly, and just let the people know where were at. And thousands come out and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, and He worked miracles and signs and wonders among the people in the--at the Vatican City. Could you imagine that? 9 And I could... that met many of the great celebrity of the country on this time, because Baron Von Blomberg was with us; he was the manager of the meeting, and well-known by all the monarchs, and potentates, and so forth, of the world. In Lisbon, why, we met the governor of the parliament, had dinner with them. And in Rome, all the dignitaries there... And this King Farouk, Farouk, ever what his name was, out of Egypt, that just married the young lady, you know, we understood, then they was divorced again. And he has a right to have four wives, so he--he only has about one or two now. But he married this young girl, school girl, and you heard the publicity in the paper and so forth. Nice man to talk to. Big fellow, great... I mean, big fellow. He was big. So he--he was a nice man. Then we met a couple of the queens of down in the Orients and so forth. And then they were there at Rome, and knowing that we were there, come to meet us. 12 And had an audience with the pope, and could have went up and talked to him. But when I found out you had to kiss his ring and his toe, I said, "No, no. Huh-uh! No." See? I will give any man his due regards, as reverend, doctor, whatever he is, to give him honor, and take off my hat to him as a gentleman, or so forth. But when it comes to worship, there's only One, that's the Lord Jesus Christ. And I would not do that. So he said... He had asked, asked the baron, and so forth, if he could have me over there on a Tuesday afternoon or something like that. He said, "Now, when you go in," said, "the first thing you do, you bow down before him. Then he holds out his ring, and you kiss his ring. Then he sticks his foot out, with a toe on that." I said, "No, no, no. No, sir. Just forget that. We won't do that." In my previous article, I spoke on Rebekah asking the servant Eliezer, Who is this man? That was her bridegroom and there was a connection when she first laid eyes on him. Before that, all she heard about Isaac was through the chief steward of Abraham, Eliezer who was given the task to look for a Bride for Abraham's promised Son. Eliezer was given full authority to do so, it was up to him to bring his choice of precious gifts for the future Bride and her kinfolks. And Laban her brother was eyeing those gifts instead of the giver. Yes, most times if not all the time, the churches were eyeing the gifts of the Holy Spirit rather than listening to His Word. Rebekah did not have an iphone IOS or a Samsung Android to go into a facebook account to see whether she would like this Bridegroom, where she was compatible or whether he was her "soul mate". What if he was not what Eliezer made him out to be? Is he ugly or malformed? A hunchback? What if he smells bad? Can she trust what Eliezer tells her? Is he hiding some information about Isaac? How much to believe this servant for afterall, he has to say only good things about his master? Gen 24:53-58 Eliezer said to them, hinder me not, seeing the Lord had prospered my way.... So now it was up to Rebekah and without hesitation, she said Yes, she would go. Faith cometh by hearing indeed and hearing the Word of God. How about us? We are the Rebekahs of today. Eliezer has come and called us to his master or rather Brother Branham has called us to his master Jesus Christ. Are we ready to go? Do not waste time with idling and false messages for the Elect cannot be deceived. Are we the chosen whereby we received the gifts and raiment (the wedding garment which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit). Have we got our lamps trimmed and burning? If so, then let us get ready to go. Even so, come Lord Jesus saith the Bride. Rev 22:20 |
