11th November 1918, Armistice Day.

"armistice" means a cessation of hostilities as a prelude to peace negotiations.  In the context of the First World War 'the armistice' is generally referred to in context of the agreement between the Germans and the Allies to end the war on November 11, 1918.

However it was by no means the only armistice of the war.  The battle on the Eastern Front was brought to a close in December 1917 (and followed by the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk), as was Romania's war (resulting in the Treaty of Bucharest).

Germany may have agreed an armistice on November 11, but Bulgaria called it quits on 30 September of the same year, 1918.  Turkey and Austria-Hungary - the latter having essentially sparked the war in the first place - concluded an armistice within days of each other, on 30 October and 3 November 1918; both were exhausted and could no longer continue to prosecute the war.

(above excerpt is lifted from www.fristworldwar.com)

On the rightl, the New York times published the signing of the cessation of World War 1. They do not have access to high speed internet or satellite dishes as we do today, but probably New York times received their message via transatlantic "morse keys" or morse code. And yet our bible tells us during the time of writing of the book of Revelation in AD 90, by John when he was a prisoner in the Isles of Patmos, a sort of Alcatraz Island or the Singapore version of Sarong Island. But John was no criminal. He was the most devoted disciple of Jesus Christ and lean on Jesus bosom at the last supper, being no  more than a teenager, some mistakenly thought he was the "mysterious" woman in Jesus life.

When John was captured by the Romans, they boiled him in a cauldron of oil but he did not die! So they say he was a witch and thrown him in Patmos. That was where God wanted him to be so that he could receive the Revelation of Jesus Christ through His angel :-

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:

So you ask, what has Armistice Day got to do with the book of Revelation? Plenty. Take theses verses:-

(Rev 11:8)  And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

(Rev 11:9)  And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

(Rev 11:10)  And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

When I was reading my bible in the early sixties, I could not understand these verses. How can the people of the world see the dead bodies three days and an half with just photography available. We did not even get colour televisions those days except for radio waves? Isn't God great? Sure He knew the world will have the media to project to each other instantly like a live Olympic game today. Hear this: the people of the world who rejected the testimony of the faithful Christians throughout the Ages were judged and there were two prophets sent out to bring out the rest of God's people before the judgement falls. These two prophets were killed and the evil men and women of the earth refused to even allowed their bodies to be buried but paraded them in Jerusalem for all the world to see and rejoice thinking that they had triumphed over God and they sent gifts one to another? Think about it? Who practises the sending of gifts one to another when they celebrate something? Not those under the influence of the Iron Curtain, not those under the Bamboo Curtain, but those under the Purple Curtain, the old Roman Empire.

So again you ask, what has that got to do with Armistice Day or what America called Rememberance Day! Remember Armistice Day is the cessation of World War 1. How about World War II? World War 1 ended at 11 am, 11th day of the 11th Month. And that is the Eleven Hour workers. On the 2nd of November, 1917, Arthur James Balfour Britain Foreign Secretary wrote to Baron Rothschild, leader of the Jewish Community that the British Government recognized and endorsed and categorically declared the favour of establishing a Palestinian home for the Jews. This then became the driving force to bring the Jews after 2,000 years of homelessness. The Jews were never able to call Israel their homeland since they returned from captivity in the days of Cyrus the Persian King, who gave them the freedom to establish their own temple worship. The land continued to be under Gentile dominance right up to the dispersion of General Titus who sacked Jerusalem in AD 70. This was foretold in the dream of King Nebuchadnezzer, the images of the man divided into world powers of Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron and Iron and Clay, till the very image was destroyed by a Stone that came out of a Great Mountain.

On that evil day of Titus, Jewish blood flowed like rivers in the city of Jerusalem as was foretold by Jesus Christ because the HIgh Priest and Levites rejected and crucified their very own Messiah. Let His blood be upon us and our children they challenged, and it was so.

The Eleventh Hour Workers:-

(Mat 20:6)  And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

(Mat 20:7)  They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

(Mat 20:8)  So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

(Mat 20:9)  And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

(Mat 20:10)  But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

(Mat 20:11)  And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

(Mat 20:12)  Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

(Mat 20:13)  But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

(Mat 20:14)  Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

What was this eleventh hour pay that was the same as the other workers? The answer lies in 1906, when the Mighty Holy Spirit returned back in the form of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (the same Wedding garment), in the Azusa Street Revival of Los Angeles under William Seymour. In 1904, about 100,000 joined the movement of the Welsh Revival. You can imagine my surprise and admiration for Miss Sun, who was my assigned Korean Interpreter, who is hardly 23 years old (my opinion as I did not ask her age), in Wonju on my first day at the site meeting when she told me that she went both to Wales and Israel to witness for herself the joy and solemness in these people and said she felt so connected to God! At this age, most Singaporean girls are smoking openly now in our streets. They used to hide in women's toilets to do that. Later forced out into car parks because smoking was not allowed in Air-Conditioning areas. What a contrast. What has gone wrong with Singapore even though our Government insisted on having those pictures of cancers in cigarette packs which even the Westerners found revolting and scary, yet our youth continues to smoke more.........They replaces the box with their beautiful gilded shiny containers. A false but fatal exchange.

How many of these youths have heard of the Welsh Revival? What did the Welsh Revival and the Pentecostal blessing of Azusa Street brings out? The same pay for the eleventh hour workers. One penny? We bring out two scriptures concerning a penny.

One verse is Luke 10:35  And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave [them] to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

The other verse is Revelation 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Brother Branham taught us that Luke 10:35 refers to the Good Samaritan, who having brought the sick man to the Inn Keeper, gave him two pence and went away but would come back to reimburse the Innkeeper if he had spent more. One penny representing Salvation and the other penny representing Healing. The double cure of the Sacrifice of the Cross. The two outstretched arms.

In Revelation 6:6, a measure of wheat is worth a penny and three measures of barley a penny. Natural foodstuffs. The Good Samaritan gave it freely but the Third horse rider who is riding the dark horse charges for natural foodstuffs. What a contrast of these two characters. One represent the Lord Jesus, the Good Samaritan for none is called "good" except God remember? In other words, the third horse rider is charging for Salvation, for prayers but the Lord bought Salvation with His own blood to give it freely to believers, all the labourers in the field including the eleventh hour workers. The InnKeeper represents the pastors who are supposed to take care of the sick man, the man who was wounded on the roadside, the sinners. We are that wounded man and He the Good Samaritan. The High Priest and the Levites did not want to dirty their hands and garments because they placed too much importance on their priestly duties in the temple. For had they defiled themselves with a sick man or a dead man, they could be disqualified from ministering in the temple. A Jewish tradition at best. They by their traditions made the Word of God none effect. Which of you asked Jesus if your lamb or a goat fell into a ditch on the Sabbath Day would without hesitation rescue the trapped animal? What more should not Christ heal a person on the Sabbath day?

What have these got to do with Armistice Day, you ask again? This is the first Woe mentioned in the bible. There are to be three Woes. The first and second have passed. The Third Woe will come and end the world in less than a few minutes, some scientists put it at 3 minutes World War III. The Third Woe.

(Rev 8:13)  And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

As I consider all the topics related to this post, I hesitate to finish this because great fear will fall upon those who have or will have rejected Christ. We spoke of Rev 11:11 where the two prophets were resurrected. We spoke of the Second Woe which was the Second World War, which started in 1939 and ends in 1945. Exactly six years. Do you know that D Day was 6 O'clock, 6th Day of the 6th month, 6th years after the war? That it was the second and third woes mentioned in Rev 9:12. One woe is past; [and], behold, there come two woes more hereafter.  News paper reported the appearance of a special star over the Ohio River as a young minister, was baptizing his 17th converts, out of the 3,000 gathering that morning at the river bank. The voice said : As John the Baptist was sent to fore run my first Coming, so are you sent with a message to fore run my Second Coming. Some fainted and some screamed in fear. The year was 1933 and the young minister was an ordained Baptist minister at that time, William Branham. Just before the Second World War. The declaration of Israel Independence came on 14th May 1948, after the second Woe.

And in Rev 11:14, The second woe is past; [and], behold, the third woe cometh quickly. It says the Second Woe is past and behold the Third Woe comes quickly. How quickly? Right after the resurrection of the two prophets in verse 11:11. Listen, their resurrection will bring about the Third Woe, World War III,  a war that will be over in minutes because of the speed of the automatic respond system of each nuclear country. How many possesses such evil ability to release such intense bombs instantly?

Atomic Scientist today put up the Doomsday Clock, to help remind the world how serious will such a war be? Once I was traveling next to such a nuclear scientist and he said they lived in constant fear because that any man can become mad when given absolute power. Some of his colleagues took to drinking heavily to numb that fear.  I will go no further but let each and every reader consider their final destination from here. Where do you want to go? Where can you hide? When will you get desperate to turn back to God before the final curtain closes. I leave you with these verses.

The Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower, the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

And finally Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Come quickly into Christ, the Rock of our Salvation. No other man made rocks will save you from this disaster of the Third Woe. No man made bunkers because the 7th vision God gave to Brother Branham was everywhere were full of craters. Get into Christ, repent and be baptized into His Name according to the prescription of Dr Simon Peter, Acts 2:38.

  1. Down at the cross where my Savior died,
    Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
    There to my sin was the blood applied;
        Glory to His name!
    • Glory to His name,
        Glory to His name;
      There to my sin was the blood applied;
          Glory to His name!
  2. I am so wondrously saved from sin,
    Jesus so sweetly abides within;
    There at the cross where He took me in;
        Glory to His name.
  3. Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
    I am so glad I have entered in;
    There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
        Glory to His name.
  4. Come to this fountain so rich and sweet;
    Cast thy poor soul at the Savior's feet;
    Plunge in today, and be made complete;
        Glory to His name.
